Festivals in Adelaide

The festivals in Adelaide attract many tourists. It starts early in the
year with the Fringe Festival (February/March). This festival gives you four weeks of fun with performances, films, markets and art. In June theres the fun Cabaret Festival, and SALA is in August. Guitar lovers find happiness with the Adelaide International Guitar Festival (August). Then we have OzAsia Feast in September and in November. The Come Out Festival and the Adelaide Film Festival are every two years.

Explore the Outback from Adelaide

From Adelaide, you can travel through the outback of South Australia. You can ride along the waters of Spencer Gulf with the mountainous Flinders Range in the background. The Australian Outback and the wild rugged landscape is perfect for hiking, camping and wildlife spotting. Aboriginals lived in Port Augusta and have made beautiful cave paintings in the caves of Yourambulla, Arkaroo and Sacred Canyon.

Best time to visit Adelaide

The summer months of December and January can be very hot. The festivals begin in March and April, where the days are still warm and the evening cools down. In May it begins to rain more and June is the wettest month in Adelaide. The winters in Adelaide are not very cold, but expect quite a lot of rain.
