Duration: 10 days
Start/Ends: Cebu City
The Philippines is any backpacker’s dream, spread throughout 7 000 islands surrounded by crystal clear waters. So if you really enjoy the ocean bluuues and would like to explore a true paradise with an active twist, this is definitely the right adventure for you.
Most likely you'll make your grand entrance to the Philippines at the airport in Manila and since this dreamtrip starts from Cebu, your first adventure is to find your way to the south. If you're eager to get going as fast as possible you can of course fly there (there are several daily departures from Manila). Alternatively, if you have time to spare, make the transition part of your adventure: travel slow by busses and boats, get to know people along the way and see some amazing views, wild rice fields and small towns. But now, the highlights of the ultimate water adventure...
Get ready to experience the gorgeous Montaneza Falls with style. Travel from waterfall to waterfall, jump 15 meters into freshwater pools, and rappel down even higher falls. Canyoning is a beautiful and fun activity among pristine scenery. Warning: Adrenaline rush is guaranteed!
Moalboal is nice, but you have not seen it all until you dive in. Grab snorkeling gear (not included) and visit the home of tropical fish and corals of all colors, shapes and sizes. Also don't miss out on the chance to see Moalboal’s famously massive schools of sardines.
Island hopping is a fantastic way to explore the unique scenery around Virgin and Hilantagaan Island. Experience the best, untouched beaches on the many small, pristine islands in the area around Bantayan. And don't worry, you will get the chance to jump in if the crystal clear waters gets too irresistible.
Ok, let's slow down for a moment and enjoy a full day of relaxing on the beach, exploring the island of Panglao and taking a calm and refreshing swim. Sounds boring? Well, there are of course many optional water sport activities to fill your day in this tropical paradise. What are you waiting for?
Enjoy the pristine surroundings of the Loboc river with a day of standup paddleboarding (SUP). This is a fun and adventurous way to experience this beautiful area - not to mention a real test of your balance.
