Travel to Grand Canyon - a natural wonder

With scenes and views so amazing, it's no wonder Grand Canyon is one of America's and the world's greatest natural wonders. This is a very special place and a MUST see. Book your trip to the Grand Canyon with KILROY!

Grand Canyon in Arizona is one of the world's most famous and popular natural attractions. A colossal gap of impressive dimensions; spans 446 km from south to north, all the way to Colorado. And it was the famous Colorado River that over six million years ago cut through the rocks and created this incredible place.

Grand Canyon highlights

When traveling to the Grand Canyon, you soon discover why this place is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Although the Grand Canyon is the deepest canyon in the world, it is also the longest. What also makes it special is the amazing, changing light. The width ranges from 6.5 to 29 kilometers.

Travelling around Grand Canyon National Park

The South Rim is the most visited in Grand Canyon National Park, and this area is also open all year. The North Rim is only open in summer, and if you have to choose one of the two sites, we recommend South Rim. Would you like to visit both places, you must expect a drive of about 500 km. You can also get around the area by bus or train.

It is recommended to go on a guided tour of the area or even better, one of the many exciting activities: rafting, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, etc. You can book tours in the area, but you also get the same experiences on one of our adventure trips. If money is no problem, there are also plenty of possibilities to see Grand Canyon from a helicopter or a small plane. Seeing this place from the air is quite a unique experience.

A different experience of the Grand Canyon...

In 2006 Skywalk was opened; a glass bridge, which extends over the edge of the gap with a drop of 1,200 meters to the bottom and the Colorado River! Yes, this place is definitely not for people with weak hearts. But OMG, this is a crazy view! The skywalk is located in Hualapai Indian Reservation.

Experience the sunrise in this amazing place if you are planning to stay here (which you definitely should, as the place deserves several days to be explored properly).
